I’m a nonresident planning to launch a U.S. business, and I just applied for an EIN. Do I automatically get an ITIN along with it, or do I need to apply separately for that?

No—you will not automatically get an ITIN when you apply for an EIN.
An EIN identifies a business entity (or its responsible party) for tax filings; an ITIN identifies an individual who isn’t eligible for an SSN. They’re separate programs, processed separately. An EIN is requested on Form SS-4. An ITIN requires Form W-7 plus original/certified ID and either a federal tax return or a qualifying exception. Applying for one neither triggers nor guarantees the other.
