No tax liability should mean no filing, isn’t it?

I earned below the taxable threshold this year through part-time gigs. I thought if I have no tax liability, I don’t need to file at all. Isn’t that how it works, or are there other reasons to file even with no tax due?

Nah. Not at all. Even with zero liability, filing is your responsibility. Think of it like keeping your license up to date—ignoring it could lead to penalties or bigger problems down the line. Filing shows the IRS that you’re compliant, even when there’s nothing to pay.
